MARKET REPORT – Saturday, July 28, 2007

Receipts this week: 583 cattle

Compared to our last sale:  Calves and yearlings sold 3.00-5.00 higher. Packer cows sold steady. 

Stocker-feeder steers:  Medium and large frame No. 1:  150-300 lbs. 140.00-195.00; 300-400 lbs., 135.00-150.00, 400-500 lbs., 110.00-130.00; 500-600 lbs., 110.00-120.00; 600-700 lbs., 104.00-115.00.   

Stocker-feeder heifers:  Medium and large frame No. 1:  150-300 lbs., 130.00-155.00; 300-400 lbs., 120.00-135.00; 400-500 lbs., 110.00-118.00; 500-600 lbs., 105.00-112.00, 600-700 lbs., 98.00-110.00. 

Packer cows:  Good lean utility and commercial, 45.00-53.00; Cutters, 48.00-58.00; Canners 38.00-42.00; Low yielding fat cows, 42.00-48.00. 

Packer bulls:  Yield grade 1 & 2, good heavy bulls; 60.00-68.00; light weights and medium quality bulls 53.00-60.00; bull yearlings 700-900 lbs., 80.00-95.00.

Compared to our last sale:  Calves and yearlings sold steady. Packer cows sold steady. 

Stocker-feeder steers:  Medium and large frame No. 1:  150-300 lbs. 135.00-185.00; 300-400 lbs., 120.00-135.00, 400-500 lbs., 110.00-130.00; 500-600 lbs., 105.00-115.00; 600-700 lbs., 100.00-105.00. 

Stocker-feeder heifers:  Medium and large frame No. 1:  150-300 lbs., 120.00-140.00; 300-400 lbs., 110.00-120.00; 400-500 lbs., 100.00-110.00; 500-600 lbs., 97.00-105.00, 600-700 lbs., 92.00-100.00.

Packer cows:  Good lean utility and commercial, 45.00-53.00; Cutters, 48.00-58.00; Canners 38.00-42.00; Low yielding fat cows, 42.00-48.00. 

Packer bulls:  Yield grade 1 & 2, good heavy bulls; 60.00-68.00; light weights and medium quality bulls 53.00-60.00; bull yearlings 700-900 lbs., 80.00-95.00.

Stocker-feeder heifers:  Medium and large frame No. 1:  150-300 lbs., 120.00-140.00; 300-400 lbs., 110.00-120.00; 400-500 lbs., 100.00-110.00; 500-600 lbs., 97.00-105.00, 600-700 lbs., 90.00-100.00. 

Packer cows:  Good lean utility and commercial, 40.00-51.00; Cutters, 46.00-55.00; Canners 32.00-39.00; Low yielding fat cows, 42.00-48.00. 

Packer bulls:  Yield grade 1 & 2, good heavy bulls; 58.00-65.00; light weights and medium quality bulls 53.00-60.00; bull yearlings 700-900 lbs., 75.00-85.00.
